Todd Dwyer has it all: a gorgeous girlfriend, a mansion in Seattle, and a mega-hit iPhone app—the last thing he needs is a dog. But when his Uncle Bertie, a former circus clown, dies and leaves his canine sidekick, Archie, homeless, Todd can't resist.

Todd's girlfriend, Gwen, however, is not pleased, and when Archie objects to being locked in the garage overnight, she convinces Todd to give the little dog to his sister, whose rural home is a day's drive away.  

Todd and Archie hit the road, but when bad weather and worse luck force them to look for overnight lodging, they end up at a quaint hotel run by Todd'd childhood sweetheart, Emma Carlisle. Can Archie help Todd and Emma find the happiness they thought was lost forever?
